Canadian Trillinium School Academic Awards Program

Award Categories:

  • Academic Recognition
  • The All-Round Studen

Academic Recognition Award

  • Honour Roll
  • Honour’s with Distinction
  • Award of Merit
  • Perfect Attendance

Honour Roll Requirements:

  • All grades are 80% or higher in every class
  • All learning skills are either Excellent or Good
  • Student has missed no more than 10 classes
  • Student has been in good standing behaviorally

Honour’s with Distinction Requirements:

  • All grades are 90% or higher in every class
  • All learning skills are Excellent
  • Student has missed no more than 10 classes
  • Student has been in good standing behaviorally

Award of Merit Requirements:

  • All learning skills and work habits are Excellent
  • Student has missed no more than 10 classes
  • Student has been in good standing behaviorally

Perfect Attendance:

  • Student has missed no classes during the semester
  • Student has been in good standing behaviorally

The All-Round Student Award

  • This award is given to the student who participates in 4 out of the 5 school related categories.

A) Athletics: Basketball, Volleyball, Badminton, Table Tennis, Coaching/Ref

            B) Arts: Yearbook, Art, Writers Workshop, Bangla

            C) Leadership: Student Council, Grad Committee, Coaching

            D) Activities: Checkers, Girls Club, 3D Club, Science Club

            E) Academics: Honour Roll (Distinction), Merit, Attendance

 

Graduation Awards

Lieutenant Governor Award

  • Given to the student with the Highest Academic Achievement

Birks Medal - Leadership

  • By Action:  Active participation in promoting events within the school
  • Award recipient models the responsible student
  • Awarded to a student with high attendance rates, strong academically, respectful to teachers and fellow classmates, committed to the school’s success, has strong learning skills and work habits.

Graduation Medallion

  • For students in Grades 9-12
  • Every school year a student will need to receive 3 certificates; a total of 12 by graduation
  • Students must be active in clubs 80% of the time to receive this award
